KEY WEST: Video Captures DUI Arrest of Key West Police Officer
Newly released footage shows the arrest of an off-duty Key West police officer who was found in a parked pickup truck.

Newly released video footage details the August arrest of an off-duty Key West police officer on driving under the influence charges.
Authorities reported finding 40-year-old Officer Dustin Christina seated in the driver's seat of a white Ford pickup truck at approximately 5 a.m. on August 16. The vehicle was located in the Old City Hall parking lot situated off Greene Street between Duval and Simonton streets.
Traffic Incident and Initial Contact
According to the arrest report, officers had earlier observed Christina turning from Greene Street onto Ann Street while nearly striking a pedestrian who was forced to run onto the curb.
When approached by police in the parked truck, Christina admitted he had consumed a few drinks and claimed he was not the person who drove the vehicle to that location, stating he was waiting for someone.
Arrest and Refusal of Testing
Officers noted multiple signs of impairment during the encounter, including bloodshot, glassy, watery, and droopy eyes, a flushed face, and an odor of alcohol. Police stated that Christina stumbled backward when exiting the vehicle and used his legs to push off the truck.
Christina refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests, telling authorities he was sitting in a non-running vehicle. A supervising officer determined there was probable cause for an arrest, leading to charges of driving under the influence and refusing to submit to a blood alcohol test before Christina was booked into the Monroe County Detention Center.
