HOLLYWOOD: Fort Lauderdale woman arrested for attempting to buy Rolex with stolen ID and credit card in Hollywood
Police say a 25-year-old woman tried to purchase an $8,000 Rolex watch using fraudulent documents at a Hollywood jewelry store.

A 25-year-old Fort Lauderdale resident was taken into custody following an investigation into a fraudulent purchase attempt at a Hollywood jewelry store earlier this year. Authorities arrested Isabella Jewels Castillo in connection with a May 5 incident at Mint Jewelers By Boodaddy Diamonds, situated along the 4907 block of Sheridan Street.
According to an arrest report from the Hollywood Police Department, store ownership reported that a woman tried to acquire an Oyster Perpetual Rolex valued at roughly $8,000. The suspect presented a credit card and a Georgia driver's license carrying an alternate name. When questioned by an officer, the suspect initially affirmed the license name before providing her actual identity.
Key details in the case
Investigators stated that Castillo admitted she knew the documents were fake, claiming she obtained them from an individual met at a Miami nightclub and communicated with solely through Snapchat. The store owner grew suspicious after another woman attempted a similar purchase about 30 minutes prior, prompting a call to emergency services.
Authorities verified with the cardholder and the person named on the driver's license that neither had authorized the use of their information. Jail records indicate Castillo faces charges including grand theft, larceny of a credit card, and fraudulent possession of another person's identification without consent, with her bond set at $10,000.
