MIAMI: Voters approve revival of Miami Marine Stadium
Miami voters backed a proposal to move forward with the restoration of the long-closed Miami Marine Stadium, with 69% voting in favor.

Miami voters have approved a proposal aimed at bringing the historic Miami Marine Stadium back into use after decades of closure.
According to election results reported Tuesday night, 69% of voters supported the measure involving the Virginia Key landmark.
The stadium has remained closed since the 1990s after suffering significant damage during Hurricane Andrew. Under the approved plan, a private company is expected to take part in the restoration and management of the property.
The vote opens the door to a new chapter for one of Miami’s best-known waterfront landmarks after more than three decades without regular public use.
