POMPANO BEACH: Driver Survives Terrifying Hit-and-Run Crash on I-95 in Pompano Beach
A South Florida driver is speaking out after a high-speed sideswipe on Interstate 95 sent his vehicle crashing into a guardrail.
A local motorist is counting his blessings following a violent multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 over the weekend. Daniel Gold was traveling northbound near Atlantic Boulevard when a dark sedan aggressively sideswiped his white Porsche SUV and fled the scene.
Dashboard camera footage captured the harrowing moment the black vehicle swerved into the driver's side of the Porsche. The impact forced Gold's vehicle into the center lane, where it collided with a Tesla before spinning across the shoulder and slamming into a highway guardrail.
Emergency responders and Florida Highway Patrol troopers expressed astonishment that Gold survived the wreckage with only minor cuts and bruises. Investigators are now searching for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
Authorities ask anyone with information regarding the black sedan or the incident to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
